Valda Claiborne oversees all functions of United & Empowered Care and its Directors. She provides vision and direction for the company, which has resulted in growth and expansion over the past 16 years in the business. Valda also works within the community to advocate for providers and the rights of the individuals they serve. She has worked extensively in this industry for years, accumulating a wealth of knowledge and experience.

School/Training: Texas Southern University

Fun Fact: I am a spiritual educator, horseback rider, fashion designer, and dancer who gives back to the community.

James Claiborne oversees the operations of United & Empowered Care. He ensures organizational effectiveness by providing leadership for business and administrative functions to assess and enhance the efficiency of internal and external operational processes. James also leads and motivates staff to achieve organizational objectives.

School/Training: Virginia State University

Fun Fact: I love studying the Word of God, teaching karate, exercising, and playing sports.

Charmaine Claiborne oversees the Quality Control of all programming areas. She maintains all program files and ensures organizational effectiveness by providing leadership for the organization’s financial functions. She also ensures compliance with individual rights, investigates incidents, monitors safety, and serves as a liaison in the community.

School/Training: 15 years of experience in ID/MH

Fun Fact: Loves family, goal-oriented, loving, pays attention to details.

Vivienne Baker is the director of administrative and day-to-day business  operations.  Vivienne is a seasoned professional with a multifaceted  background, including executive fiscal administration (non-profit),  branch bank management, and retail operations management.

School/Training: North Carolina Central University – 30 years of Service in the Financial Profession

Fun Fact: I love arts and crafts, dancing, photography, and relaxing with family.
